Tax Due Dates
Tax Bills will be mailed within the next 2 weeks -
There will be a 25 day grace period.

Taxes are payable quarterly on the first day of February, May, August and November.  After ten days, as established by State Statute, they are delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 8% on the first $1,500.00 and 18% in excess of $1,500.00.  A penalty of up to 6% may be charged on any delinquency in excess of $10,000.00 if not paid by the end of the fiscal year.  No delinquent payments will be accepted without interest.  No payments will be accepted without a Borough of Roseland Tax Bill.  If a payment is received without a bill, a duplicate bill will be made and the account will be charged an additional $5.00.

Tax Sales

Any municipal lien remaining unpaid on the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the current fiscal year is subject to Tax Sale at anytime thereafter.

Make checks payable to:    Borough of Roseland
(must be a separate check, please do not combine with water and sewer payments)

Mail To:  Tax Collector, 19 Harrison Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068

No payments will be accepted without a Borough of Roseland Tax Bill.   If a payment is received without a bill, a duplicate bill will be made and the account will be charged an additional $5.00.  (Self addressed stamped envelope and full bill must be sent for receipt.)  In the event of change of ownership, tax bill should be given to new owner.
