Property
Maintenance Code:
It is the duty and responsibility of the Zoning Officer to
enforce the provisions of The BOCA National Property Maintenance Code. The
code is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare in all existing structures,
residential and non-residential, and on all existing premises. The BOCA National
Property Maintenance Code contains clear and specific property maintenance requirements
with required property improvement provisions.
Common
Complaints:
The most common complaints from residents are the following:

High grass (in excess of 10 inches)

Sidewalk Obstructions (all sidewalks must be maintained and free
from hazardous conditions) |

Motor Vehicles (no vehicle in the state of major disrepair
is permitted to be stored on premises) |

Accumulation of rubbish (which includes wood, tree branches and
yard trimmings) |
