OEM Council OEM Plan FEMA

The purpose of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is to plan and coordinate the borough's response to disasters or unusual conditions which exceed the borough's normal ability to respond. A disaster can result from either natural or man-made actions and must be a threat to the health and safety of resources of the residents of one or more towns.

Where appropriate, the OEM has authority to recommend that a state of emergency be declared. This enables the borough to obtain county, state, and/or federal resources to aid the people of Roseland.   In the event of a disaster, Police Headquarters will become the central  "Communication Center".

Emergency Management Coordinators

The Emergency Management Coordinators are the point people responsible for implementing the Emergency Management Plan and directing the emergency response.  They are responsible for:

bullet

recording and reporting information received from or passed to
higher  levels of government

bullet

starting and maintaining a significant events emergency log ,

bullet

 the Office of OEM, and

bullet
