Leaves in brown, recyclable paper bags only are collected on Tuesdays during May. Loose leaves should not be raked into curb area at this time.   Biodegradable paper bags can be purchased at the Public Works Office for $.30 each.

Commencing in mid October for approximately 8 weeks, the Public Works Department provides mechanical curbside collection of loose leaves on Borough streets.   Leaves may be raked into the curb area at this time or residents may use paper bags. Residents on County roads must bag their leaves for Borough collection & receive 24 free bags each year.  Paper bags may be purchased anytime during the year for $.30 each at the Public Works Office.  Plastic Bags will not be collected.  For both Spring and Fall collections, paper bags are picked up on Tuesdays --BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Restrictions:

Branches must be a minimum of 1" in diameter and 3 feet' long and not to exceed a maximum of 4 inches in diameter and 10 feet long. Branches are NOT to be placed in road.  Logs, roots, and stumps CANNOT be collected. Shrub cuttings, twigs, & bushes can be tied in bundles for pickup by Suburban Disposal, Inc. on the  2nd Wednesday of each month for Bulk collection.
