Items include but are
not limited to: Water heaters, washers & dryers, refrigerators and freezers, air
conditioners, barbecue grills, lawn mowers without tires, dishwashers and
stoves, bicycles without tires, disassembled metal sheds, rims without
tires, wrought iron
furniture, boilers and furnaces, empty propane tanks
(with valves removed),
metal piping, TV antennas etc.
Our garbage contractor
collects the bulk and metal materials. Their contract with the Borough
does not require them to collect construction materials generated from
renovations and or alterations (sheetrock, lumber, shingles, windows,
doors, tile, concrete, fencing, vehicle parts, tree trunks/stumps/roots
and rocks, and or dirt. The Borough of Roseland does not have a dumping
site. The garbage company does not accept tires.
Residents may call our
contractor or any solid waste contractor to make private arrangements for
disposal of these items. Contractors are listed under "Rubbish
& Garbage Removal" in the yellow pages of your phone book.
