Powers and Duties:
The Attorney...
| attends borough council meetings and other municipal meetings, | |
| represents the borough in all judicial, administrative, and other proceedings, | |
| gives advice and counsel where requested by the mayor and council, | |
| serves as the legal advisor on borough business, | |
| drafts or approves as to form and sufficiency all legal documents, contracts, deeds, ordinances and resolutions made on behalf of the borough, and drafts many other documents, | |
| conducts appeals when appropriate, | |
| enters into agreement, compromise of settlement of any litigation in which the borough is involved, | |
| renders legal written opinions upon any question of law submitted to him/her by the mayor and council, | |
| performs other legal services. |
