Biography

Councilman Biront has served on the Council since 2024. He has three boys who attend Noecker Elementary School in the Borough.

Biront graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he received his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is licensed Professional Engineering in the State of New Jersey as well as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.

Biront has 20+ years of professional experience in the fields of Traffic and Civil Engineering. He currently is the Assistant Township Engineer in Monvtille, NJ. He previously worked as a Traffic Engineer for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the Port Authority of NY & NJ.

Biront decided to get involved in local government because he has always been a public servant. In addition to the professional positions he held, he served on the executive board of the Institute of Transportation Engineers Metropolitan Section of NY & NJ for 7 years and was President in 2014.

Biront has always volunteered his time. As a young Engineer he volunteered his time to work with the ACE Mentoring program where he taught Newark high school students about Architecture, Construction, and Engineering. He was also involved with the CANstruction Competition which helps local food pantries while raising awareness for the less fortunate. He currently volunteers his time coaching baseball, soccer, and basketball for Roseland Recreation.

Biront has lived in Roseland since 2008 and has seen how the Borough has already made great strides. He wants to help continue the path the Mayor and Council have laid down. He feels with his professional experience can help the Borough effectively manage major capital projects that come down the line.
