The Borough of Roseland, NJ offers its sincere condolences to the family of former Roseland Police Chief, George Adelmann. In his honor, the flag has been lowered to half-staff at all Borough buildings starting today, Friday, March 3 through Tuesday, March 7 to coincide with his memorial services. The Borough will also be hanging his Hometown Hero Banner in the front of the funeral home for the duration of his services.

“Chief Adelmann’s dedication to the safety and well-being of our residents is an example that resonates with our current police officers,” said Roseland Mayor James R. Spango. “We thank him for his service and thank his family for sharing him with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.”

Chief Adelmann was hired by the Borough in 1965 and worked his way up the ranks and became Police Chief in 1995 where he served until 2000 when he retired. While George moved out of Roseland after retiring from the Borough, he was a Roseland resident for many years and made an impact in the community.

For those who wish to attend the visitation, it will be held on Monday, March 6 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Shook-Farmer Funeral Home in Roseland. The service will be held on the 7th at 11:00am at Shook-Farmer Funeral Home in Roseland.
