Jean Perrotti

Biography

Councilwoman Jean Perrotti has served on the Council since 2019, is married to her husband Frank and has two sons. She was unanimously chosen to serve as Council President in 2022.

Perrotti currently works as a Leasing Coordinator for Simon Property Group and has lived in the Borough since 1977.

Perrotti decided to get involved in local government because she has loved living in the community and with so many great memories and joy, she wanted to give back. She has already been involved locally before serving on the Council. Jean has served on the Roseland Board of Education for three and a half years, the Library as a Trustee for 11 years, the HSA for 12 years, the West Essex PTO for eight years, and on the Municipal Youth Guidance Committee for nine years.

Jean's main focuses as councilwoman are to maintain fiscal discipline while meeting growth obligations, maintain the small town environment while navigating state-mandated obligations, exploring the possibility of putting in senior citizen housing for community members who want to remain in Roseland, and to strengthen the community by making responsible decisions and using the talents and expertise of residents to do so.

Having served on the council, Councilwoman Perrotti feels that she has become fully aware of the challenges we face in the Borough, and being a forward-looking person and understanding the realities of mandates and the associated pressures that come with it, she believes she can offer insight and creativity to navigate these challenges while maintaining the small town charm of Roseland.
