Tennis & Pickle Ball Courts Policy (as of Spring 2021)

  1. The Harrison Tennis/Pickle Ball Courts are open to the following: any individuals who own or rent property in the Borough, or work in the community.
  2. If a player using the court does not display a current court receipt through our Community Pass Online Registration System and possibly a proof of residency, (home or business), he/she will be asked to leave, either by the Recreation Department Staff or the Police Department Staff.
  3. Courts will be open from March through November (weather permitting). Hours of operation of our tennis courts are 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Please note: In the second half of November the courts may be closed at dusk, due to colder temperatures.
  4. Daily Court Reservations must be made online at http://register.communitypass.net/roseland. Court Reservations will be at one-hour intervals on the hour. Same-day registration is required, or upon closing you may reserve court time for the following day. No advance sign-ups for future dates please.
  5. Courtesy is asked of all players. There will be a maximum of one-hour playtime when others are waiting for the court.
  6. If players are not present fifteen minutes after the starting time, any member waiting can claim the court.
  7. Proper attire is required! A shirt and TENNIS SNEAKERS must be worn at all times.
  8. No more than three balls are allowed per court.
  9. Recreation Department Tennis/Pickle Ball Programs will take precedence over open play.
  10. No private tennis instruction may be given at any time.
  11. The Recreation Department is not responsible for personal property lost on or about the courts.  
  12. Roseland Borough, through Park Ordinance 22-2002, prohibits the following in Borough Parks: Littering, Use of Glass Bottles, Parking Vehicles on the Grass or Unauthorized Areas, Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages and Other Intoxicants, Unleashed Dogs, Leashed Dogs in Picnic Areas, Play Areas and Sports Facilities/Fields, Use of Bikes Off Paved Roadways, Fires and/or Barbeques – Except in Designated Areas, Unauthorized Sales or Commercial Activities, Golf, Powered Flight Models, Profanity, Fighting and/or Weapons.

Please note:  The Recreation Department may add, delete and/or change any of these Rules and Regulations, should they deem necessary.
