About Us

The Department of Finance has jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to finance. The Chief Financial Officer is the Director of the Department of Finance and is responsible for all financial operations and affairs of the Borough. The responsibilities include custody and investment of all Borough funds, maintenance of all financial records including general ledger, managing grant and debt service, processing accounts payable, account receivable, preparation of payroll for all borough employees, preparation of the annual budget, annual financial statements and annual debt statement. The Department consists of the Division of the Treasury, Division of Tax Collection and Division of Tax Assessments. The Department prides itself on a collection rate of over 99% of which reflects in its Municipal Bond Rating of Moody's Aa2 and Standard and Poors AA+.
