Roseland Senior Society
August 2021
The Borough of Roseland has decided that after more than a year of isolation, concern, and worry due to COVID-19, we want to ensure our Roseland seniors have a warm, welcoming, and active community of fellow senior residents to socialize with and make memories that will last.
The Borough will soon launch its own Borough seniors group that any Roseland resident who is 55+ can join for absolutely free. The new group will be guided by the decisions of the Roseland Senior Citizen Advisory Board with the Borough’s Recreation Department running the programs that the Advisory Board wants to undertake. If this interests you, a relative that lives in town, a fellow Roseland friend, or even a neighbor you are friendly with, we hope you take action and join this new group we are calling the Roseland Senior Society.
The Roseland Senior Society will aim to be inclusive, original, and will strive to make sure that there will be a multitude of different programming and activities for all interests and activity levels. Early ideas currently include a speaker series on topics of interest to seniors and field trips to nearby destinations. The first meeting is scheduled for September 2021.
We would like to invite all Roseland seniors who are interested in joining a group like this to please contact the Borough to sign up and officially join the Roseland Senior Society. You can do this by:
- Filling out an interest form on the Borough website by clicking here
- Calling the Recreation Department at 973-403-6899
- Mailing us your full name, home address, email address (if you have one), phone number, and your activity level (low, medium, or high - so programming ideas can be thought up) to: Recreation Department, ATTN: Senior Society, 140 Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068.
