Advisory Letter to Residents On Temporary Field Lighting - August 2023

Fellow Roseland Residents,

As you may have heard, the Harrison Complex will shortly begin work on turning the entire complex into a turf field facility, in addition to the building of a new snack shack, bathrooms, and storage space. While we are all looking forward to these improvements which will benefit our children and our community, we need to make adjustments to our Recreation programs that normally take place on these fields as they will be closed during construction.

In order to continue our Youth Soccer and Kickball programs, we will be using Mayor Louis & Lynn DeBell Field, Fernwood Field, and Lester C. Noecker Fields for these sporting activities. You will likely notice increased activity in your neighborhood from late August through early November for this fall season and note that temporary portable lighting will be placed on these fields for weeknight games. Rest assured, games will not go past 10:00 pm on weeknights.
