Roseland Remembers Former Councilman Louis Barbarisi

The Borough of Roseland, NJ offers its sincere condolences to the family of former Roseland Councilman Louis Barbarisi. In his honor, the flag has been lowered to half-staff at all Borough buildings starting today, Wednesday, May 31 through Friday, June 2.

“I extend my condolences to Councilman Barbarisi’s family during this difficult time,” said Roseland Mayor James R. Spango. “The Borough greatly appreciated his service to our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.”

Councilman Barbarisi was born in Newark and served in the Army National Guard from 1967-1971. He was employed by Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley and then Prudential in Newark before retiring 25 years ago.

Louis served as a Roseland Councilman from 1986 to 1994. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family at the beach, playing cards, and playing golf. Services will be held at the Galante Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1 from 1-4pm.
