Roseland Remembers Former Schools Superintendent Nick Corbo

The Borough of Roseland, NJ offers its sincere condolences to the family of former Roseland Schools Superintendent, Nick Corbo. In his honor, the flag has been lowered to half-staff at all Borough buildings starting today, Friday, April 28 through Friday, May 5.

“I extend my condolences to Nick Corbo’s family and the entire Noecker School community,” said Roseland Mayor James R. Spango. “The Borough thanks him for his decades of service and thank his family for sharing him with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.”

Mr. Corbo was the Superintendent of Schools in Roseland for over 25 years, and began his career at the Harrison Avenue school as the science teacher. He became the superintendent after the passing of then superintendent Lester C. Noecker. During his time as superintendent, he led the district through the building of the new elementary school and the merging the of the old and new schools. Since his retirement, Mr. Corbo had been living with his wife, Barbara, in South Carolina.
