Roseland Remembers Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver

The Borough of Roseland expresses its condolences to the family of Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver, who passed away today at the age of 71.

"Lt. Governor Oliver was a pioneer for women and African-Americans in New Jersey through her decades of civic service and leadership right here in Essex County and in Trenton on behalf of the entire state of New Jersey," said Mayor James R. Spango. "On behalf of the entire Borough of Roseland, we give our thoughts and prayers to her family during this difficult time. I knew the Lt. Governor for two decades and she was a wonderful woman who had my utmost respect and admiration."
