Successful SCRAM in 2020

While there were challenges and adjustments due to COVID-19, Roseland’s SCRAM program for 2020 was a success thanks to the hard work and diligence of the Recreation Department, SCRAM staff, and compliant attendees and parents.

“Through hard work, perseverance and thorough planning SCRAM 2020 was a success! We held off cancelling camp in early spring in an effort to try and give our children some sense of normalcy in this unprecedented time,” said Mayor James R. Spango. “I thank Recreation and OEM for working with the governing body to accomplish SCRAM 2020. I know all children had a great time and are looking forward to next year!”

The Recreation Department received approval from the New Jersey Department of Health for their COVID-19 plan, which included social distancing and masking mandates, as well as temperature taking of all attendees each morning at the start of SCRAM.

As of the writing of this press release, no participants or staff were diagnosed with COVID-19, which is a testament to the protocols put in place and the efforts of all who played a part in SCRAM 2020.
