Fire Hydrant in Snow

As you likely have heard, Roseland's first winter storm of 2024 is expected to arrive this weekend. As we get closer to the estimated start time, the forecast has gotten clearer as to what should be expected for our area.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm will arrive in the early-mid afternoon on Saturday with light snowfall expected, accumulating under an inch. The main action of the storm will take place on Saturday night into Sunday morning with a total of 3-7 inches of snow falling in our area. The storm should wrap up by mid-afternoon on Sunday.

The next storm system will arrive shortly thereafter on Tuesday early afternoon through Wednesday during the day, as heavy rain is expected. Exact amounts of rainfall are unclear at this time, but some minor, localized flooding is possible as falling rain combines with water from snow melt on top of already saturated soils from recent rains.

Due to the forecast for this weekend, please ensure that any vehicles parked on the street in front of residences are removed between 5pm on Saturday, January 6 until Sunday, January 7 at 5pm. This will help ensure Public Works can properly plow and/or salt our streets.
