The Borough of Roseland has been told by the USPS Manager of the Northern New Jersey District that three carrier assistants have now been hired to fill three vacancies that had existed at the Roseland Post Office. The Borough was told that the Roseland Post Office should be back to full staffing next week with these additions. This should mean that mail is delivered more frequently and during usual delivery times.

“I thank the USPS for hearing our concerns and taking action in solving this issue,” said Mayor James R. Spango. “Mail service has been an issue for a long time in Roseland and I hope that the corrective action that the USPS announced to us manifests into immediate results.”

Residents are advised that if they have any problems with the mail being delivered to please first submit a Postal Mail Complaint on the Borough website, www.roselandnj.org. In addition, residents should call the USPS Consumer Affairs Hotline at 732-819-3260 and/or Congresswoman Sherill’s office at 973-526-5673 (ask to speak to Shala Gagliardi) to voice their concerns, frustrations, and stories so each incident can be explored and resolved. The Borough continues to work to investigate and bring mail issues to the attention of our area elected and post office officials.
