Board of Health
The Board of Health shall have the power and authority to adopt ordinances relating to the protection of the health of Borough residents, shall employ necessary personnel and fix their salaries with consent of the Council, and shall have under its jurisdiction the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the Borough, the Health Officer and such other employees as are necessary to carry out its duties. The Board of Health shall have all of the jurisdiction conferred upon Boards of Health by N.J.S.A. 26:3-1.
Health Department
The mission of the Health Department is to improve the health and quality of life of the citizens of East Hanover Township and Roseland Borough through the use of health promotion strategies, health protection strategies, preventive services and community health surveillance.
The Borough of Roseland contracts with the township of East Hanover for it's Health services.
