Roseland is pleased to announce the introduction of a SAFE ZONE, creating a safe location to conduct sales transactions that originate on the Internet.
This location is in front of the Roseland Police Station and has a live video surveillance that is also recorded. The concept is to create a safe zone for individuals to complete a purchase that started on-line between two individuals.
Former Mayor John Duthie worked with Police Chief Richard McDonough to bring this initiative to Roseland to enhance safety. Buyers and sellers can meet in a secure location instead of using their own home.
There is a sign at a parking spot in front of the police station. This is a safer way of conducting this type of transaction, but of course can not guarantee any individuals safety.
