Ridge Road Improvements - April 2024

On or about Tuesday, April 9, 2024 (weather permitting), milling and paving will begin. Two (2) days of milling, one (1) day for any needed additional work, followed by one (1) day of paving is expected. The anticipated schedule is as follows, but may be altered due to weather or field condition delays.

  • Milling
    • Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9th and 10th
  • Paving:
    • Friday, April 12th

No Parking and construction/detour signs will be posted along the roadway at least 24 hours prior to the start of the milling and paving on the road. Please move your vehicle(s) off the street by 7:00 A.M. on the dates indicated on the signs. If you will not be utilizing your vehicle(s) during construction, it is not necessary to remove it/them from your driveway, but please keep in mind that you will not have any access to drive on the road during the paving operations. Access to the street will be limited during milling and closed during paving until approximately 5:00 P.M. Morning school bus pick up will not be affected, and the roadway will only be fully closed once the last bus exits the Ridge Road. Afternoon drop off may be affected and alternate routes and drop off points used through Holmehill and White Oak Rd (via Thackery Lane access).

The gate at the end of Ridge Road, accessing Thackery will be left open during milling to provide two options for egress to avoid the construction. During paving the work will start at the gate and progress toward Eagle Rock Ave. As the gate access will be paved first it will not be available for use until the late afternoon/early evening. Every effort will be made to assure that inconveniences are minimal and all work will be completed as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing due to the construction activities and appreciate your cooperation.
