Mosquito Control

The Department of Public Works occasionally receives inquires regarding mosquito control within the Borough. The Borough advises all residents to contact the Essex County Mosquito Control Hotline at 973-239-3366 Option 2 to relay their concerns and to see if they can assist, or alternatively, they can contact Maureen Critchley at 973-403-6038 as she will help record your concern and transmit it to the County.

Please remember that a major way to reduce the number of mosquitos on or near your property is by removing standing water on your property and eliminating areas where water can pool, as mosquitos will use those areas to lay their eggs.
