2020 Junior Olympics

Attend the 2020 Roseland Junior Olympics - at its new date for 2020! The event is to be held at Thomas J. O’Beirne & Harrison Fields (In Harrison Complex – 19 Harrison Avenue in Roseland). Event open to all West Essex Area Residents in Kindergarten through 6th Grade. No fee! Free to participate!

The Roseland Junior Olympics is a fun Track and Field Competition open to West Essex Regional School District Children in grades K through 6 (as of October 17 th ) and each participant is encouraged to enter a MAXIMUM of 4 events (listed below, where eligible). Awards will be presented to all 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place winners in each event and to the overall male and female winners in each grade category. Please know that NO cleats/spikes are allowed - SNEAKERS ONLY!

Boys and Girls will compete separately in the following groups by grade: K, 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6. Check in to occur from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. with events being held from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Field Events:

  • Running Long Jump
  • Softball Throw
  • Turbo Javelin Throw

Track Events:

  • 50 yd. dash
  • 110 yd. Run - (Kindergarten & Grades 1-2 only)
  • 220 yd. Run - (Grades 3-4 only)
  • 440 yd. Run - (Grades 5-6 only)

Register now online through Community Pass at https://register.communitypass.net/roseland or by calling 973-403-6899. Deadline to register is Friday, October 16th. A minimum of 10 signups are needed to run the competition. NO ONSITE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
