Easter Bunny Drive Around - 2020

Event Flier

The Borough of Roseland, NJ had previously announced we would hold our annual Easter Egg “Eggstravaganza” on Saturday, April 4th. For the safety, health, and well-being of all of our residents, that event was cancelled as we deal with the Coronavirus.

Instead, thanks to the efforts of the governing body, the Recreation Department, the Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), and after coordinating with the Easter Bunny himself, the Borough is excited to announce that we will instead escort and drive the Easter Bunny around Roseland on Saturday, April 11th starting at 11am (weather permitting).

Taking the same path as when Santa is escorted around Roseland, the Easter Bunny will start waiving and greeting residents on the east end of town and make his way to the western side of town. Roseland OEM will escort and the DPW will drive the Bunny around on one of their trucks.

"At difficult times such as these we must find unique ways to celebrate,” said Mayor James R. Spango. “During this rough time for our community, we can bond together from a distance and make new memories of Easter. Please remember to stay home, stay healthy and stay positive.”

The Borough would like to remind residents that there will be no photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny as we encourage Borough employees, residents, and the Easter Bunny himself to maintain social distancing of at least six feet at all times.
