Roseland Congratulates Additional Basketball Champions

In addition to last week's aforementioned championship victories, Roseland has continued to celebrate additional big wins over the last several days that are exciting and should give pride to the residents of the Borough.

On Tuesday, March 7, the 5th and 6th grade boys basketball team, the Roseland Knicks defeated the Fairfield Bombers 44-31 at Churchill School.

On Thursday, March 9, the West Essex High School Intramural Basketball Program also held their championship match at Noecker School. The Fairfield Falcons, which included three Roseland residents, defeated Griddy City by a score of 64-55. Photo

On Friday, March 10, two Roseland teams of 3rd and 4th grade girls faced off at Noecker School with the Roseland Lynx defeating the Roseland Liberty by a score of 18-11 in the Championship. 

“The entire Borough of Roseland beams with pride about the outstanding successes of our youth basketball teams in 2023,” said Roseland Mayor James R. Spango. “We again congratulate all of the players and coaches on a successful and rewarding season.”Photo
