The Borough of Roseland, NJ would like to recognize and congratulate the winners of the annual Mother of the Year and the Senior of the Year competition.

For Mother of the Year in the 1st – 3rd Grade category, Roseland congratulates Danielle Vigilante, who was nominated by her son, Giovanni.

For Mother of the Year in the 4th – 6th Grade category, Roseland congratulates Jennifer Holden, who was nominated by her son, Nate.

“Being recognized is always an honor, but being recognized because of how your child views you through their eyes is above all honors,” said Mayor James R. Spango. “I congratulate Ms. Vigilante and Ms. Holden and their families. This is an honor you will never forget. “

For the Roseland Senior Citizen of the Year Award, the Borough would like to congratulate Angelo Carrozza for taking the honor.

“Mr. Carrozza is a great example of how our great borough thrives, through volunteerism and community,” said Mayor James R. Spango. “I applaud Angelo for his 40 years of volunteering in our borough.  Well deserved!”

“Congratulations to all three recipients as this is a great honor,” said Councilman Michele Tolli. “I know that Danielle and Jennifer must be thrilled, just as I was in 1994 when my son Matthew's essay won as the 4th grade winner.”
